Cheez-It Introduces Two New Flavors in Collaboration with Kordell Beckham

While all this is happening, Cheez-It, as expected, wants one and all to indulge in the cheesiest snacks during the season and on those game days. This affixation with the game, however, erupts into new levels with the month's reserves with the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl—one year, it's going to be at a live launch of a brand new flavor concept of the oldest college football bowl games in the country. But this year, it's going to be at a live launch of a brand new flavor concept.


No stone is left unturned in aiming for maximum Cheez-It flavor in the game. That contributes towards, for instance, a two-minute timeout wedding officiated by mascot Ched-Z to a fan reporting on game-day antics from the sidelines inside the largest bowl of Cheez-Its in the world: 47 inches tall and 72 inches wide, filled to bursting with Original-flavored crackers. However, the greatest thing of all for the snackers will be that Cheez-It will add one more additional magnificent twist to this year's match-up with the Universities of Illinois and South Carolina by introducing a couple of new flavors just before the end of the first quarter.


Branding the new title of "Chief Fantaseez Officer" for the Orlando-based bowl game is Kordell Beckham, winner of season six of Love Island USA and sibling to NFL player Odell Beckham Junior. The two flavors shall sell in one box, with Beckham on the packaging's cover and the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl logo on the side. The new bundle will be available for purchase on CheezIt.com after its debut live at the game.


"Cherish innovation with flavors for Cheez-It," notes Cara Tragseiler, Cheez-It senior brand director, to Food and Wine. "Whether it's a product entirely new, a new method for enjoying our current flavors, or a full menu of Cheez-It-infused foods, we're always dedicated to ways to make our fans engage with our irresistible snack."


This is not Beckham's first visit to the creation of a new flavor with Cheez-It. He worked with the brand back in August to prepare two new renditions of the snack, the White Cheddar and the Hot & Spicy Cheez-Its, dubbed the Kordeezy Cheezy Couple. The boxes of crackers were in such high demand that, according to Cheez-It, they sold out in less than five minutes.


"Staying plugged into these vibrant cultural conversations and trends, which fuel the fan experience, is one of those key dimensions that facilitates bringing these innovations to life," describes Tragseiler. "It was pretty clear after our first game with Kordell that Cheez-It fans absolutely love him as much as we do. Bringing even closer fan connection to life during the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl is that he will be launching a new Kordeezy Fantacheezy bundle at the game."


The Chief Fantaseez Officer very famously said in his season on Love Island USA that he hoped to partner with Cheez-It at some point. Therefore, bringing that dream through this first launch's success with the brand, it is no surprise that the two are coming together on the occasion.


At the stadium, there will be a cheesy menu as part of bringing Cheez-Its to life inside the stadium, which will involve combining the crackers with essential American comfort foods.


Since the launch of the new flavors will be happening live, fans tuning in from home can time the drop of the brand new Kordeezy Fantacheezy flavor bundle with the action on the field and snatch up boxes as soon as they become available on sale.
