Wuthering Waves has finally disclosed an endgame mode that is expected to be part of Version 2.1, which will be out in mid-February. The update introduced a new explorable nation, two five-star Resonators, and completed the first part of its second phase, even though the players' patience is hard to measure, since they are already keen on knowing the next patch. With the previous news given at the beginning of January, Wuthering Waves said the introduction of new characters to Version 2.1; now the developers announced the addition to RPG.
Through its official in-game notices, Wuthering Waves demonstrated that they had added a new permanent mode called "Whimpering Wastes" for Version 2.1. According to the developers, this endgame content will have challenges that reset every week. The announcement of Whimpering Waves came after well-known leaker Sleep had dropped a few hints about the game mode. According to the source, the endgame content is a three-step process; in each, there are tasks with corresponding rewards. Only two stages of the process are reset, however, and those in it are said to take away about 800 Astrites. Connected with the earlier ones as well were leaked, which disclosed a completely different endgame mode premiere on Wuthering Waves that would run through a point system. The new mode might offer Astrites easier farming for us if the rumors are confirmed.
In line with the addition of Whimpering Waves, the game has rescheduled the next Tower of Adversity cycle to last from February 3 to March 3. It usually resets every 14 days for Wuthering Waves' Tower of Adversity, but now the game has changed it to a full month. After the announcement, fans conjectured that this decision might be permanent to be on par with the weekly reset of the new game mode, although the change is likely to be temporary too. Of course, players will have to wait for the formal announcement of Kuro Games in the next weeks.
